The Growth Ventures Team in Global Strategy invests in and develops new technology-based growth platforms for Monsanto. This team is responsible for Monsanto’s corporate venture capital efforts (Monsanto Growth Ventures) and works closely with Technology and Business leaders within Monsanto to evolve Monsanto’s strategy for growth and investment.
The Venture Capital (VC) team works with numerous Venture Capital groups, entrepreneurs, various private equity groups, start-up companies and privately held growth companies to identifying transformative businesses and technologies and talented management teams that would qualify for investment. Post investing, the team seeks to leverage the strategic value of the portfolio company to further Monsanto’s growth strategy. Leveraged relationships include eventual business partnerships, licensing, collaborations and acquisition. In general, the VC team works with high risk technologies and businesses and seeks to develop a risk-managed portfolio of transformative opportunities.
