Startup board members: How much equity should they get?

As you may know, I dive deep on VC salary and compensation data.

But maybe I should start looking at startup board compensation, too!

Based on Carta’s data below, this is how much equity they receive:
𝗦𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗕𝗼𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗠𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘀 – 0.75% on average
𝗦𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗔 𝗕𝗼𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗠𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘀 – 0.52% on average
