Seeking a full-time principal to join Schematic Ventures, a seed venture capital firm located in San Francisco. Schematic is a sector focused fund that leverages deep industry networks to find and win promising opportunities. The firm is looking for candidates interested in pursuing a long-term path to partnership. Responsibilities include:
- Identify, source and evaluate new opportunities
- Develop initiatives to strengthen fund interests & investment position across different sectors
- Research emerging market opportunities and technologies
- Produce detailed financial analysis and investment due diligence
- Quarterback all aspects of the investment process (term sheet, formation, legal documents)
- Work in a strategic capacity with portfolio companies on a regular basis
- Pursue enthusiastic professional development with goal of attaining partner position
Profile Desired:
- 2 – 4 years of investment experience (SF, enterprise and / or early stage experience a plus)
- Demonstrated passion for start-ups, engineering and technology
- Active among entrepreneur and investor networks
- Process-oriented thinker with a high level of attention to detail
- Operate comfortably across a wide range of complex technical topics
- Able to work independently with self-directed projects
- Legally qualified to work in the US
