Bow Capital, an early-stage venture capital firm, has an opening for an Intern on the Investment Team this summer.
Bow Capital invests in technology that advances society and betters our world. Founded in partnership with the University of California, we’re building a different kind of venture fund – one that bridges the gap between academia, sports and entertainment, and business. We pursue the big ideas that will change society and leave a lasting impact.
As an Investment Intern, you will be responsible for (1) sourcing potential investments through targeted outbound strategies; (2) conducting due diligence on potential investments from the prospecting stage to an investment committee decision; and (3) supporting our platform and operations efforts to engage key stakeholders and help Bow invest more effectively.
You will be mentored by the General Partners of Bow Capital, all of whom have launched and scaled companies of their own in Silicon Valley, and collaborate cross-functionally with the entire Bow team. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful contribution in a rapidly-growing, young venture firm and could translate to a full-time position for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
Work alongside our investment team to source new potential investments and conduct market research into key industries for future investment
Develop your own areas of expertise and investment theses to add new perspective to Bow’s sourcing efforts
Support Partners in their diligence of companies up to the point of an investment decision (prospecting, deep dives, investment committee meetings, etc.)
Work with our Operations team to engage the University of California and other key stakeholders
Help with planning events, updating advisors, and other special projects
