We are looking for extraordinary interns. This is a PAID internship and requires students to receive school credit, and will be a 20 hours per week requirement for 6-12 months.
We are looking for interns with diverse skill sets who can contribute to the various projects we are working on. The primary responsibilities will include gathering detailed research.
Duties include:
- Researching specific markets (equity analyst for public companies)
- Tracking market news and doing market research (with potential customers of the portfolio company)
- Helping with due diligence efforts, for example by calling all of the prospective portfolio company’s references and key customers
Typical projects might include:
- Evaluating the business plans by analyzing market scope, scalability to be forwarded for the internal screening.
- Be dedicated with marketing and business development or some other aspect of the business.
- Filtering through the slush pile of investment opportunities
- Researching specific markets (as would an equity analyst for public companies), tracking market news and doing market research (with potential customers of the portfolio company).
- Finding prospect investments, attending events, networking, etc.
- Helping with due diligence efforts, for example by calling all of the prospective portfolio company’s references and key customers
- Responding to correspondence from the fund’s investors
- Sitting in on pitch presentations, usually taking thorough notes
- Financial analysis
- Various projects
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
- MBA candidates required
- The qualified candidate will have an opportunity to participate in our exciting full year part-time internship program
- Must have minimum of 1 year of work experience in Investment Banking, Venture Capital, consulting or worked for a Startup
ADDITIONAL MUST HAVES:
- Strong team player, independent, organized and able to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment
- Can-Do mentality, pick up tasks as they arise (occasionally also outside of job description)
- Strong communication skills (English) – written, speaking, presentation
- Strong Power Point and financial modeling skills
