CoVenture is a boutique multi asset manager focused on niche and emerging asset classes organized across credit, pre-seed venture capital, and crypto. CoVenture Credit invests in esoteric credit opportunities originated by next-generation, technology-enabled originators, sourcing exclusive deal flow from venture capital, crypto and other non-traditional networks (for example, agricultural invoice factoring, lending to Air BnB hosts). CoVenture Crypto offers several institutional solutions for cryptocurrency exposure, including a new quantitatively driven fund that leverages experience trading traditional financial instruments across asset classes to systematically harvest alpha in crypto, regardless of market condition or direction. We also offer a venture strategy, a mutual fund and an index fund. Business Development / Strategy Intern for CoVenture Crypto The ideal team member will help the business development lead to execute projects, service existing clients, conduct research, and learn how to strategize on an outbound sales strategy. The ideal candidate is a high energy, self-starter with a deep sense of personal accountability who is hungry to learn more about the digital asset industry. Please note that this is an unpaid internship.
Responsibilities:
Clients:
● Developing outbound sales campaigns and strategies
● Responsible for managing internal client database and ensuring data integrity and accuracy
● Coordinate meetings with investors (current and prospective) and develop organizational skills
● Assist in the creation and of marketing materials
● Help manage a real due diligence process; i.e. help maintain data rooms
Content:
● Liaise with content creation team to ensure generation of topical research
● Generate ideas for blog posts / tweets / webinars etc. (for head portfolio manager and business development head)
● Conduct market research on competitive landscape
Qualifications:
● Current college student (in Finance, Communications, Technology background preferable)
● Excellent communication skills, open, friendly, customer orientated and willing to work in a team (over-communicates regardless of things go wrong or right) Genuine interest in the cryptocurrency / blockchain industry
○ E.g. the candidate could explain proof of work vs. proof of stake to their family
○ Has blogged about technology in a public forum (Medium, Twitter, etc.)
● Flexibility to work half days (8:30am-1pm) at least 4 days per week
● Effective project and time management skills are necessary
● Computer skills to include G-suite, Word, Excel, PPT
● Self motivated, ability to multi-task, critical thinking, problem solving skills, initiative, drive, common sense, creativity and flexibility are essential
