AXA Venture Partners is a $600 million global venture capital and growth equity firm with offices in San Francisco, New York, London, Paris and Hong Kong. AVP invests in enterprise software, fintech, consumer and digital health sectors. We are looking to add associates to both early stage and growth stage investment teams in our NYC office. All associates will work directly with NYC-based General Partners.
Profile Desired
• Strong academic performance at a top university
• 1-3 years of consulting, investment banking or investment experience
• Understanding of and excitement about technology
Qualifications
Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills
• Build financial models
• Conduct market and competitive research
• Evaluate key business drivers (e.g. unit economics)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Author investment memoranda
• Present deal opportunities to General Partners and executives
Aptitude for sourcing deals
• Drive and perseverance to identify investment opportunities and engage CEOs
• Interpersonal skills required to build and cultivate relationships with CEOs
Strategic thinker
• Analyze investment opportunities and make recommendations to General Partners
• Formulate investment theses and create market maps to drive sourcing efforts
Intellectual curiosity
• Passion for learning about new sectors and companies
• Desire to understand the key tenets of a business and whether a deal is a good investment (vs. an interesting company)
Self-starter
• Can work independently in an unstructured environment
• Bias for action
Robust work ethic
