XRC Labs is an accelerator and venture fund for the next generation of disruptors in the retail technology and consumer goods sectors. Our mission is to invest in and foster companies and products that innovate the face of retail and consumer goods fulfillment in a rapidly changing marketplace using design thinking as a key driving process. Our investments span the entire retail value chain: supply chain, store tech, online tech, analytics, consumer brands, and martech/adtech. We recently launched XRC Fund VIII, are on our 13th cohort, established an Opportunity Fund for follow-on and Seed-Series A investments, and have a dedicated Consumer Fund.
We’re looking for a ANALYST to join our newly launched XRC Labs Consumer Fund’s Sourcing Team, which is responsible for sourcing and evaluating new emerging brands within beauty, personal care, consumer hardware, consumer healthcare and home care. This role offers candidates the opportunity to quickly gain experience and domain expertise, with exposure throughout the investment process. You will report directly to a Director and a Partner at the fund.
Our ideal candidate will have AT LEAST 1 year of professional post-college experience up to 3 years, preferable in a highly analytical role such as finance, private equity, venture capital, or consulting. They will need be a “multi-sport” athlete: social media savvy, analytical with strong Excel skills, and a go the extra mile / do what it takes attitude.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Understand and research the landscape and categories under consideration
- Build competitive landscapes that identify the differentiations of the sourced candidates
- Stay up to date with trends in the space
- Build a positioning set of slides that summarize the potential of the brand
- Present sourced candidates, trends and competitive landscapes to Partners
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
- 1-3 years of professional experience
- Strong presentation skills is a MUST
- Ability to ingest and convey financial information is a MUST
- Familiarity and network within the startup ecosystem
- Enthusiastic, driven, and great at articulating value of XRC offering
- Ability to prioritize multiple competing tasks and remain organized
- Keen eye for evaluating startups with strong analytical and communication skills
- Team player who doesn’t hesitate to roll up sleeves and tackle something hands-on
- Knowledge of consumer goods landscape, beauty, personal care and health and wellness exposure a huge plus
- Experience with startup research and sourcing is not required, but is a plus. If you have worked at a venture firm, even better.
