ConsenSys Labs operates our venture studio which provides world class resources, tools, and talent to over 40+ ConsenSys startups around the world. Labs is the most integrated vehicle for building a company with ConsenSys. About the Role
As a Labs Investment Associate, you will drive the company’s investments in new projects. Expect to:
- Responsible for the end to end deal cycle, including research and signal scouting, deal sourcing, due diligence, legal execution, and portfolio monitoring, in collaboration with the rest of the ConsenSys Labs investment team.
- Develop sector-specific insights, strategies, and priorities to form of the basis to source and screen investment opportunities.
- Lead research and analysis for blockchain and industry trends, work with company stakeholders to ideate and design new venture opportunities.
- Establish yourself as an industry thought leader and represent ConsenSys at conferences and other industry events.
- Perform in-depth operational, financial and commercial due diligence and drive cap table analysis company valuations.
Ideal Experience and Skills
- Deep passion for blockchain technology, both personally and professionally. While it is not necessary to have prior working experience in the space, we are looking for individuals who can nerd out with the rest of the team and can demonstrate a commitment to becoming a knowledge expert in the ecosystem.
- 3-5 years of strategy consulting, investment banking, buy-side investing. Previous experience as an operator in a startup or tech company is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and proficiency with numbers – a love for spreadsheets and Airtable
- Effective and efficient communication skills, with an excellent command in English. Additional languages considered a plus.
- Entrepreneurial. No ego. Scrappy. Thrives in highly ambiguous, lightning-fast-paced environments that require deep cross-functional team collaboration
- Able to succeed with little oversight with an inclination for self-organisation and task optimization.
- Technical background with coding or programming skills are a major plus.
