Northzone is an early stage venture capital fund. Since 1996, we have been chosen by exceptional entrepreneurs as a long-term partner for growth. So far, we have invested in over 130 companies including category-defining businesses like Spotify, Trustpilot, iZettle, Klarna, Stepstone and Avito. We are a team of 14 investment professionals with offices in London, New York, Stockholm and Oslo. As an addition to our investment team in London we are looking for an Analyst.
Responsibilities
-Qualify potential investments
-Source new investments for target sectors and markets
-Represent Northzone in the UK, German and/or French startup community, including meetups, hackathons, and demo days
-Support deep dive research and develop subject matter expertise in key focus areas
-Assist in various administrative activities across Northzone, including investor reports, events, and other logistics
-Support due diligence for new investments
-Provide various support to our portfolio
Qualifications
-Highly quantitative, proficient in Excel/Google Sheets; coding experience a plus
-Graduate ideally with some work experience at a technology startup, VC or PE firm, investment banking, or management consulting (e.g. internships or longer engagements)
-Demonstrable curiosity in the global startup ecosystem
-Existing connections to the UK, German and/or French tech community
-Strong communications skills, including the ability to prepare and deliver management presentations and public speaking
-Self-starter, capable of sourcing and executing projects independently
-Completed undergraduate or graduate degree (or, at least, a really interesting story for why you dropped out)
-Fluent in English plus either French or German (ideally native-level)
-Right to work in the UK
