The Role
The Fundraising Manager is a high impact role that serves as the primary owner for one of our most critical product functions – turning teams with early business ideas into seed funded companies (i.e. “Launch”). We’re looking for someone to run our Launch product, which drives the success and funding outcomes for our portfolio companies in Berlin.
What You’ll Do
* Run and manage the day-to-day operations of the Launch program in Berlin* Ensure strong seed funding outcomes of portfolio companies, including experimentation with different strategies and investor groups* Build out and own existing and new relationships with the early stage investment community in Berlin to match our portfolio’s constantly evolving needs* Support our portfolio founders as their “go-to” resource for all things EF, including advising on cap tables, valuation and term sheets* Manage a complex group of internal stakeholders locally and globally to get input and buy in* Play an active role in ensuring the overall success of the Berlin site, alongside the Talent and Form teams
Level and compensation: This is a Manager level role, with a competitive salary and performance based remuneration, plus generous company benefits.
Location and start date: You will be part of our team in Germany, based in Berlin, and would start as soon as possible / before 1st December 2020.
What You’ll Need* 5+ years in progressive roles within startups and investment functions, ideally including exposure to deep technology.* A local network of investors and Venture Capital firms in Germany, including VCs, angels, accelerators etc* Bilingual language skills in both German and English* A deep understanding of public funding mechanisms in Germany* An excitement for learning about dozens of industries and technologies by the very people building the future* A highly analytical and strategic mindset, with a love of solving complex problems and balancing multiple challenging tasks simultaneously* A collaborative approach to achieving organisational goals, with individual accountability for ensuring delivery of targets* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work cross culturally in a global setting* The drive to succeed in a fast-paced, results driven and often scrappy start up environment
