Location : Delhi (with frequent travel to Kolkata)
- RP-SG is a diversified conglomerate with interests across Energy (Power, clean tech, distribution), Consumer (retail, food services), chemicals, entertainment (media, music, sports), and technology businesses. The group has been growing at more than 20% p.a for the last 5 years, and wishes to embark on an even more aggressive growth trajectory over the next 5-10 year horizon.
Job Overview
- As a group, we have decided to set-up a Venture Capital Fund focused on consumer industries (FMCG, retail analytics, e-commerce, consumer tech). We would play the role of early stage investors, and have a committed capital of USD 50 million (could be increased) to invest over the first 2-3 years
Job Description
- Vice President – As a sole VP, lead deal sourcing, investment due diligence, and investment decisions (along with the investment committee). Leverage industry contacts/ knowledge to source/ appraise deals; cover board meetings and engage in key strategic decisions at portfolio companies; investment reporting to the investment committee/ board, take exit decision on portfolio companies.
Qualifications
- Over 6 years of experience in Investing (ideally VC funds or growth funds); strong analytical / conceptual skills, inter-personal & communication skills, highly entrepreneurial and results-focused, top-tier B-School a must (e.g., in India, only IIMs, ISB, XLRI and FMS); experience in consumer industries a plus, but not necessary (ref:iimjobs.com)
