Job Description:
- Formulate in-depth understanding of enterprise and emerging technology areas such as cloud computing, deep learning, and big data
- Provide market perspective as an investor
- Understand Alibaba’s business needs in technology
- Identify potential targets and elaborate investment rationale
- Drive an entire transaction end-to-end including sourcing, diligence, structuring, negotiation and documentation
Job requirements:
- Has basic understanding of computer systems and programming principles. Comfortable reading technical spec and white papers to quickly understand a technical domain
- Passion for technology and China market
- Past product or engineering experience at a public cloud provider such as AWS, Google, Microsoft or a leading enterprise tech startup
- Has solid financial know-hows as an investor. Experience in VC, consulting or investment banking is a plus
- Undergraduate or graduate degree in engineering. MBA from top business schools is a plus
- Native fluency in both English and Mandarin
- Team player, driven, fast learner, accustomed to working in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Comfortable with PowerPoint and Excel
