Day View Capital Management is a venture capital and growth equity fund focused on special situations in technology companies around the world. Based in San Francisco, Day View is anchored by a preeminent private equity fund and several single-family offices that represent the founders and early employees of private equity and hedge funds.
The Role:
Day View is looking to hire its first investment team member for a highly entrepreneurial role working directly with the Managing Partner on all firm-related activities, including investment sourcing, diligence, transaction structuring and negotiation, portfolio tracking, fundraising, and limited partner communications. This role will offer candidates a unique opportunity to join a promising new investment firm on the ground floor. The role is best suited for candidates with a self-starting work ethic, an analytic mindset, and a deep network in the startup and VC ecosystem. The candidate should have a track record of thriving in unstructured entrepreneurial environments and a strong interest in technology and venture capital/growth equity. Candidates with backgrounds in venture capital, growth equity, private equity, investment banking, management consulting, or strategy/corporate development roles at startups are highly preferred. The candidate should have confidence in his or her ability to add value immediately, as the position has the potential to develop quickly into a partner role.
Minimum Qualifications:
– Undergraduate degree from a top university
– 2-7 years of work experience in a related role
– Self-starter with a demonstrated entrepreneurial streak
– Strong networking skills
– Interest in technology and investing
