Supernode Ventures (LinkedIn) is a NY-based microVC fund, focused on late seed stage BtoB/SaaS/FinTech companies. We have an incredible pipeline of deal flow and a network of co-investors that rivals any on the East Coast. Our Managing Partner is a successful operator who had a large exit and has built a track record of Angel Investments over the last three years. This is our first committed capital fund.
We are looking for an incredibly talented investor with considerable experience at a larger venture fund to offset the Managing Partner’s Operational experience. This is a partner role. This individual will be involved in all aspects of Supernode Venture’s activities, including fundraising. Please note: the first-year pay will be minimal as we continue to close commitments to the fund. We will compensate you for this with commensurately increased carry.
The role includes:
-
All aspects of fund operations, including managing deal flow, diligencing deals, writing investment memos, communicating with founders, tracking fund performance.
-
Events. Be prepared to turn on the charm. From small 20-person customer dinners to bi-monthly startup showcases for VCs, to 70-person dinners for entrepreneurs, events are our lifeblood. Part of our value add for our portfolio (and for the VCs who syndicate to us) is the large network we have. In-person get-togethers help seal those relationships.
Applicant must have:
-
2-5 years venture experience is a MUST, preferably with your own track record
-
Entrepreneurial spirit — this fund is a startup — you need to be completely self-directed and act like an owner
-
Peerless written communication skills
-
Exceptional organizational skills; strong attention to detail
Other things we like:
- Tech background/Coding experience
- Fundraising experience, or connections to potential LPs
- Experience at an enterprise/SaaS tech company, consulting firm, or investment bank
