Supernode Ventures (LinkedIn) is a NY-based microVC fund, focusing on late seed stage BtoB, SaaS and FinTech companies. We look at 10+ deals per week and bring 4-6 deals a month to our investor network. We tend to move very quickly, so our associates must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and being involved in many different projects at once.
We are looking for a venture partner who is passionate about startups, investing, and staying on top of market trends. This individual will be involved in all aspects of Supernode Ventures’ activities, and will have direct interaction with the managing team and portfolio companies.
TIME commitment: 20 hours per week. We are based in the Flatiron District of NYC. We have a roof deck. Compensation: to be discussed. It will not be anywhere near market rate, but will be augmented by Carry in the fund.
The role will include:

Finding companies to invest in (via attending outside events, and reaching out to other VCs in our network), and due diligence on startup opportunities. You will think of creative ways to evaluate startup opportunities and verify the claims made by companies presenting to Supernode Ventures.

Fund operations work, including managing a large amount of deal flow coming into the firm. We are constantly looking for ways to speed up communications with limited partners, investors, and startups. You will be in charge of making sure nothing falls between the cracks.

Events. Be prepared to turn on the charm. We do monthly startup showcases and breakfasts for entrepreneurs. Part of our value-add for companies is the large array of startup events we host each month. You will be as involved as you want to be in the event process.

Exceptional organizational skills and strong attention to detail

Familiarity with VC metrics (EG know how to calculate IRR, how to forecast ARR)
