The Discover 10X program drives the incubation of new businesses through an intensive system and methodology designed to generate new growth and value for Citi.   The system incorporates the principles of corporate innovation, Lean Startup Methodology, Design Thinking and Agile, including a disciplined Venture Capital-style portfolio management model in order to launch New-to-Citi and New-to-World businesses, products and services.
 
The Head D10X Coach will manage a large team of NY-based Entrepreneurs in Residence (EIR) – 10 FTEs (mix of contractors and permanent employees) up to and including Director level. Additionally, the individual will lead program design, management and execution from the coaching side. This will include setting the strategy for the global coaching team (additional resources in London). Over time, the role will encompass the build out of a London-based EIR team.
 
Primary Responsibilities:
 
  • Test, codify, iterate and scale the Discover 10X coaching system – strategy, purpose, methodology, processes, tools, and outcomes.
  • Manage the global coaching program end to end including expense / P&L management, operations and talent. Create an initial onboarding process, curriculum and tools to support ongoing hiring needs.
  • Execute, manage and improve upon the existing Coach performance  and talent evaluation process.
  • Lead the organization of events supporting Coaching engagement with the broader D10X and CV team, including all aspects of event planning and management, vendor engagement, facilities planning.
  • Instill a metrics driven approach to the coaching practice including establishing objectives and key responsibilities along with associated measurements.
  • Ad hoc special projects supporting the heads of D10x and Citi Ventures leadership.
Required Experience: 
  • Undergraduate degree required, advanced degree preferred.
  • 15-20+ years work experience.
  • Ecosystem knowledge and connectivity including incubators, accelerators, VCs and startups.
  • Experience mentoring start-ups.
  • Start-up experience in a leadership role.
  • Lean startup fluency and digital product expertise.
