Corporate Development Analyst @ Hypertherm in Hanover, NH

Based at our Corporate Headquarters in Hanover, NH our Corporate Development & Strategy team is growing with the addition of a new Corporate Development Analyst. In this role, you will provide quantitative and qualitative analysis to support Hypertherm’s M&A, Strategic Alliance, Venture fund management and Joint Venture activities. You will lead efforts in strategic industry and target analysis, while playing a key role in building valuation and merger financial models.

A Successful Candidate Will Have

  • A Bachelors degree in STEM field (required)
  • An MBA degree from a top-tier school or a CFA designation (preferred)
  • 2-5 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, or management consulting

The Position Requires a Candidate To

  • Effectively build financial models of various degrees of complexity (Operating, DCF, LBO, M&A) with high attention to detail
  • Perform business and venture capital valuations
  • Have a good understanding of manufacturing processes and industrial technology markets
  • Be able to evaluate technologies and IP portfolios
  • Apply primary research skills proactively and ethically
  • Research industries and companies in a systematic and comprehensive way
  • Make impactful presentations to associates, partners, and management
  • Exercise strategic thinking, be highly organized, and meet set deadlines
  • Network internally and externally to develop professional relationships
