Thrive Capital is a leading New York City-based venture capital firm that builds and supports early and growth stage companies. Our investments include Instagram, Twitch, Stripe, Spotify, Warby Parker, and Instacart, and we have helped start Oscar, Maple, and Cadre.

Thrive is seeking an Associate to support the investment team in identifying and making investment recommendations through detailed research and due diligence; supporting portfolio companies with actionable advice and introductions; and contributing to the team’s approach and analysis of markets, business models, and products.

Key responsibilities include:

Support due diligence, including writing and parsing diligence requests, analyzing data, leading market research, conducting diligence calls, authoring investment memos.
Provide thoughtful investment perspective. Contribute to investment discussions across multiple opportunities. Develop recognized sector or thematic expertise.
Contribute to deal flow. Identify, research, and propose quality companies for consideration by the investment team and generate shared interest amongst team members.
Contribute Thrive’s growth and development through a variety of initiatives such as recruiting, hosting events, improving internal systems, managing external partners, or project management.

Provide meaningful value to portfolio companies by assisting Partners with key impact initiatives and developing advisory relationships with senior management at portfolio companies. Identify and make introductions to potential hires, customers, or services providers.
Ideal candidates have a demonstrated passion for technology and 1-3 years work experience at a top tier technology, investment, or consulting firm.
