ACCELERATION ANALYST SUCCESS
BIP Capital is currently searching for a high-powered and dynamic individual on our acceleration team. The ideal candidate will:
1) Hit the ground running on a fast-paced, entrepreneurial team and be willing to “get their hands dirty” for supporting functions across (i) internel fund operations, (ii) portfolio reporting and acceleration impact projects, and (iii) other firm strategic initiatives
2) Have an innate drive and “grit” to get the job done and extreme attention to detail across all output
3) Successfully interface with senior leadership internally and at portfolio companies
4) Own and drive all aspects of select strategic initiatives
5) Have an innate intellectual curiosity and genuinely enjoy research
6) Effectively prioritize short term and long term priorities to meet deadlines
EXAMPLES OF WORK
The select job functions listed are illustrative and representative of the tasks required of this position, but are not exhaustive. An outstanding analyst will be excited to excel at all of the below tasks.
• Manage the collection of monthly KPIs from portfolio company leadership teams and presentation of those KPIs to internal investment team members on an ongoing basis
• Assist COO in development of firm management and oversight frameworks necessary to run a leading venture capital firm
• Prepare portfolio performance documentation, including a detailed review of portfolio company reporting integrity
• Perform detailed financial and operational analyses to support Portfolio Company acceleration projects
• Drive novel research projects in the venture capital and private equity space
• Research and develop best practices around common early stage challenges to produce content and resources that empower portfolio company growth
BASE SKILL REQUIREMENTS
Education and Experience
• BS or BA Required – preferred in finance, business, economics, engineering
• Candidates should have a minimum of 2-4 years experience in investment banking, private equity, venture capital, accounting, or relevant operational experience
Knowledge and Skills
• Basic financial modeling wherewithal or knowledge of financial statements
• Mastery of Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
• Maniacal attention to detail with strong analytical and organizational skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
