This Analyst / Associate will work directly with Quona’s LatAm investment team on all aspects of the investment and portfolio management processes, with exposure to high-energy entrepreneurial and VC ecosystems in Latin America and beyond.
Quona’s investments in Latin America include iconic fintech and embedded finance startups such as Creditas, Konfio, ADDI, Neon, Klar, Kovi, Contabilizei, and Facily.

The Opportunity
- We are looking for a high-performing Senior Analyst or Junior Associate to join Quona’s Latin America investment team. The role will be based out of São Paulo or Washington, DC.
Responsibilities
- Support the investment team with sourcing of investment opportunities through engagement with the startup and fintech ecosystems
- Conduct market research, company mapping, and competitive analysis within key fintech sub-sectors and target markets
- Support the investment team in evaluating investment opportunities by interviewing the teams, partners, and clients of pipeline companies; building investment theses; conducting strategic and financial analyses; and assisting with pipeline management
- Analyze portfolio performance, assist with regular reporting to investors and contribute to the development of additional LP-facing collateral
- Support portfolio companies and Quona-wide value-add initiatives
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in technology, operations, strategy, or product at a fintech company or venture-backed startup; and/or in consulting, principal investing, investment banking, or a related field, preferably focused on financial services or technology
- Ability to take initiative and work independently in a fast-paced team that is geographically dispersed
- Enthusiasm for technology, entrepreneurship, and financial inclusion
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree with excellent academic performance
- Strong financial modeling and analytical skills
- Fluency in English and Portuguese (Spanish is a plus)
- Excellent English business writing and communication skills
