Applications for the 2022 paid VC internship program are now open and close Monday, January 24th. If applicants submit their applications early, by January 17th, then they can receive feedback with an option to resubmit.
Candidates with an HBCU affiliation and who are apart of or have completed an HBCUvc program, may apply. This includes, full-time undergraduate students with at least 30 credit hours completed, full-time graduate students, those accepted into a full-time graduate program that starts Fall 2022, or recent university graduates with a commencement date of 2022 or later may apply.
HBCUvc serves as the operating and training partner and leads recruitment, selection, and training of the interns who participate in the 10-week long summer internship program. Selected interns participate in a 2 day immersive training in the Spring. After the training is completed, interns work with a host VC firm for ten weeks during the Summer. They also participate with their cohort members in events organized by HBCUvc to continue their development. Host firms are located in cities across the United States and some opportunities are in – person while some are virtual.
Please note, the summer internships roles are full-time and interns will be expected not to have any competing commitments, which would include working another job simultaneously.
HBCUvc is proud to offer the largest paid summer internship stipend for participants. The Stipend offered by us is meant to assist participants with any living expenses while participating in the program full-time. HBCVvc will provide a stipend award in the amount of $10,000 to undergraduates and $14,000 to alum.
