VC Associate @ Bramalea Partners in Remote

Bramalea Partners – Associate Posting – 1.31.22

Bramalea Partners is looking to add an associate to its investment team in early 2022.  We are a new venture/growth fund that invests in private technology and consumer businesses that have established product-market fit and go-to-market strategy.  The expansion capital that we provide along with our strategic guidance helps our companies to accelerate and scale.  Our culture is entrepreneurial at its core that requires each team member to have substantial and relevant investment experience and tremendous motivation to operate with little corporate structure.   As a start-up fund, the ideal candidate will have a long-term perspective on professional growth and compensation, which will be tied to the success of the portfolio and business.

As an associate, you will report to the managing partners and be primarily focused on individual deal due diligence, leveraging existing research to help develop firm views on specific industries, and managing portfolio company data and relationships.  Sourcing experience is desirable, but not required, nor will it be a substantial part of the role.  Because we are a small firm that believes in-person relationships do matter, it is a requirement for this person to be located in Boston and he/she will be expected to spend 2-3 days in the office with the rest of the team.  All members of the team must be willing to travel up to 25% of the time to establish relationships with existing and prospective portfolio companies.

Relevant experience includes 5-10 years of investment banking, management consulting (preferably with a focus on technology and consumer companies), and venture/growth/private equity investing on the buy-side.  Compensation will be competitive and a generous benefit package will be offered to all employees.

If you are interested in the role and will be available to start in the first half of 2022, please email Matt Blind (info@bramaleapartners.com) with your CV/resume and an explanation of why you think you could be a fit for the firm to include: brief description of the deals that you have done or companies that you have advised, your self-perceived professional strengths and weaknesses, and other activities that you participate in outside of work.  Please limit your response to 400 words and include in the body of the email.
