As a University Scout, you will play a pivotal role in discovering innovative companies with high growth potential, particularly in healthcare, and related industries.

Key Responsibilities:
- Time Commitment:
- 10 hours/ week
- Startup Discovery:
- Identify and evaluate startups, student ventures, and research projects at your university and within the North Carolina ecosystem with commercialization potential.
- Engage with student entrepreneurship clubs, research centers, and technology transfer offices to source leads.
- Market Analysis:
- Assess startup ideas and projects based on market viability, innovation, and scalability.
- Conduct preliminary research on market trends, competitors, and potential customers.
- Reporting:
- Provide detailed summaries and reports on startups and ventures to the Scout Program Coordinator.
- Highlight standout startups and innovative ideas for further evaluation by boomerang.
Qualifications:
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program at a university in North Carolina.
- Passion for entrepreneurship, startups, and innovation.
- Familiarity with venture capital or startup funding processes.
- Analytical mindset with an ability to assess business viability and market potential.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently.
