We are seeking an Investment Principal to join our firm. Wyld VC is an early-stage venture capital firm investing in AI infrastructure and AI vertical apps across the San Francisco Bay Area and Middle East. The firm was founded by an x-a16z advisor and x-SoftBank Vision Fund Investor and is backed by major figures in finance and VC.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a new, mission-driven fund that is looking to play a major role in building bridges between two dynamic ecosystems that are at the forefront of shaping the AI revolution. As an Investment Principal, you will play a critical role in driving Wyld’s investment strategy, deal execution, and portfolio engagement, overseeing a team of Associates and Analysts.

Candidates must have a technical background in AI/ML and completed a Masters (or higher) in Computer Science or a related field. Additionally, we seek individuals with a proven history of leading teams and who seek and excel in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and who embody Wyld values. Additionally, they are enthusiastic about joining a firm dedicated to driving ties between Silicon Valley and the Middle East. Candidates with previous exposure or work experience in investments/VC and a strong founder and VC network in Silicon Valley are preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Deal Sourcing & Evaluation: Identify high-potential AI startups through networking, building founder relationships, collaboration across the firm’s and their respective network, research, and leading initial screening.

  2. Investment Execution: Lead the end-to-end deal process with the team including due diligence, market research, financial analysis, and preparation of investment memos for internal IC review.

  3. Portfolio Support & Monitoring: Serve as the primary contact for select portfolio companies, supporting founders on growth strategy, hiring, and fundraising.

  4. Ecosystem Engagement: Represent Wyld VC at major investor and tech ecosystem events. Build trusted relationships with co-investors, accelerators, and regional or sector-specific partners.

  5. Internal Leadership: Play an active role in developing internal processes, reporting systems, and team culture. Mentor junior team members and contribute to Wyld’s thought leadership, content, and community-building efforts.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 5+ years of relevant experience in a technical role in AI such as software engineering, academia or product management. Exposure to investing is preferred.

  • Track Record: Demonstrated potential to source, evaluate, support technology companies and lead investments, especially in high-growth or technical sectors.

  • Decision-Making: Ability to quickly assess complex startups and synthesize insights under time pressure; thrives in fast-paced, high-context environments.

  • Strategic Thinking: Strong analytical skills; ability to connect details to firm-wide goals.

  • Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication; experience preparing and presenting materials to internal and external stakeholders.
