VC Principal @ Sofina in Luxembourg

As an Investment Professional, you will play an active role in various stages of the investment cycle.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Sourcing: Identification and prioritisation of new direct investment opportunities in Europe and the US.
• Sector Analysis: Contributing to in-depth sector analyses as part of proactive sourcing efforts.
• Due diligence: Conducting detailed assessments of targeted direct investments and fund opportunities (VC/PE). This involves drafting investment memos and presenting findings to the Investment Committee.
• Deal Structuring and Negotiation: Collaborating with senior team members during deal negotiations and structuring. You’ll also support the internal processes related to deal closures, including coordination with back-office teams on tax, legal, and accounting matters.
• Portfolio Management and Monitoring: Contributing to ongoing portfolio management, performance analysis, and valuation.

Profile

We’re seeking a talented and team-oriented professional with the following qualifications:

• Experience: A minimum of 3 years (max. 7 years) in relevant investment roles (PE, VC, family office, fund of funds), investment banking, strategy consulting, or other corporate finance functions in Europe. Experience in healthcare or tech sectors is a plus.
• Education: Graduated from a top-tier Business or Engineering school. A CFA certification is a plus.
• Language Skills: Fluent in English; proficiency in other languages is welcome.
• Mindset: Solution-oriented, collaborative, commercially aware, and skilled at networking. Able to work effectively in a multi-cultural environment.
• Long–Term Vision: Motivated by the prospect of contributing to a long-term investment project.
