VC Principal @ Singtel Innov8 in San Francisco, CA

Singtel Innov8 is hiring a Venture Capital Investment Principal to focus on enterprise AI and digital infrastructure, leveraging Singtel Group’s 20+ country footprint to help founders scale globally. With 130+ investments across AI, enterprise, consumer, and next-gen tech, the role offers direct exposure to partner-level decision making, portfolio boardrooms, and cross-border dealmaking across San Francisco, Singapore, Tel Aviv, and APAC. Singtel Innov8 recently launched a new US$250M AI Growth fund in addition to its existing US$250 million evergreen fund. The role will be for cross stage investments investing out of each vehicle.

We’re seeking a highly motivated Investment Principal to join our San Francisco team and gain front-row exposure to the global venture capital landscape.

You’ll have the chance to:

• Focus on AI & Emerging Tech: Identify, evaluate, and invest in early- and growth-stage companies at the forefront of the AI ecosystem.
• Work Cross-Border: Build conviction on global opportunities spanning the U.S., Asia, and beyond.
• Build an Investor Track Record: Develop insights, execute deals, and shape investment theses that influence partnership decisions.
• Drive Corporate VC Strategy: Strategic alignment with the investment and innovation ecosystem and Singtel’s global businesses.

What You’ll Do

• Lead Deal Sourcing & Pipeline Building: Proactively identify high-potential startups and cultivate relationships with founders, investors, and ecosystem partners.
• Drive Investment Diligence: Conduct deep market research, competitive analysis, financial modeling, and risk assessments to support rigorous investment decisions.
• Thesis Development: Track industry trends and emerging markets, generating data-driven insights that shape Innov8’s investment roadmap.
• Investment Committee Exposure: Draft and present detailed investment memos, building conviction and articulating recommendations to the partnership.
• Own Portfolio Oversight: Monitor portfolio performance and provide analysis on business KPIs, financing needs, and market dynamics.
• Leverage Global Market Connectivity: Collaborate with Singtel’s global operating units to identify partnership and commercialization opportunities for startups

What We’re Looking For

• 3-5 years experience within venture capital investing
• 5-10 years of relevant experience in investment banking, management consulting, corporate strategy/development, or technology research.
• Strong analytical and financial modeling skills with proven ability to assess business fundamentals.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; comfortable presenting to senior stakeholders.
• A passion for technology, entrepreneurship, and emerging markets.
• Team-oriented mindset with a self-starter attitude and strong work ethic.
