Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for a Principal at Second Sight Ventures, based in the New York City Metropolitan Area. The Principal will be responsible for sourcing and evaluating investment opportunities, performing market research and due diligence, building relationships with entrepreneurs, and supporting portfolio companies. The role involves tracking industry trends, analyzing financial models, and collaborating with the internal team to develop investment strategies. Some work-from-home flexibility will be provided, although the role requires regular in-person interaction.

Qualifications

• Experience in venture capital, private equity, investment banking, or a related field
• Strong skills in market research, financial analysis, and due diligence
• Proficiency in building and analyzing financial models
• Ability to source and evaluate high-growth startups
• Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills
• Strong problem-solving and strategic thinking abilities
• Familiarity with industries at the intersection of culture and innovation is a plus
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field; advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., MBA, CFA) are a plus
• Demonstrated ability to thrive in both collaborative and independent environments
