To support our growing investment team in Munich, we are looking for a 

Investment Manager (m/w/d)

Your role

  • You are involved in all phases of the investment process from the very beginning.
  • You will work closely with experienced investment colleagues.
  • You will accompany our portfolio companies and their founders on their growth path – potentially also as an advisory board member.
  • You actively contribute to the development of our portfolio.

Your tasks

  • Transactions & Deal Execution 
    You are involved in all deal phases from the beginning and gradually grow into overall responsibility, i.e. you prepare and present investment cases for the Investment Committee, create offer letters and support negotiations.
  • Due Diligence & Analysis 
    You conduct comprehensive quantitative and qualitative due diligence reviews, assess markets, sectors, business models and companies as well as their risks, unit economics and reporting, and coordinate external consultants.
  • Portfolio Management: 
    In portfolio management, you will actively support our portfolio companies in advisory or observer roles, monitor their strategic, operational, and financial performance, and derive concrete, actionable recommendations for improvement. You will also drive value creation initiatives and financing measures (equity and debt) and support strategic decisions, including add-ons and follow-on investments. 
  • Deal Origination & Sourcing: 
    You will build in-depth industry knowledge, track trends, business models and technologies, and identify attractive targets through market and competitive analysis. You will also develop and maintain a robust network of experts, founders, industry partners and intermediaries.
  • Internal development & team collaboration 
    : You are the contact person for younger team members, actively participate in the further development of internal processes, tools and best practices, and represent the investment team both internally and externally. 

Your profile

  • Degree in economics or a comparable field of study
  • 5+ years of relevant professional experience, including 3+ years on the buy-side in PE, growth equity or late-stage VC
  • Residence in the greater Munich area or willingness to relocate
  • Excellent knowledge of financial modeling, valuation and accounting
  • Entrepreneurial and solution-oriented mindset and willingness to learn
  • Strong team orientation
  • Excellent communication in German and English
  • Confident use of Excel and PowerPoint
