Job Description:
As a key member of the Corporate Development team, the New Ventures Manager will play a pivotal role in driving Sitio’s growth and expansion strategies through the identification and evaluation of new business ventures. These opportunities may be focused on solving and monetizing solutions for industry inefficiencies, acquisitions, and strategic partnerships that leverage Sitio’s strengths in data management, oil & gas technical evaluation, capital allocation, and land & title diligence. The New Ventures Manager will report to the EVP of Corporate Development and will have access to other company executives throughout the organization in all functions.
Key Responsibilities:
Opportunity Assessment
- Identify, prioritize, and evaluate potential growth opportunities including acquisitions, joint ventures, and strategic partnerships.
- Spearhead the creation of pitch decks and presentations for management and the board of directors.
Financial Analysis
- Develop financial models to assess the potential value, synergies and risks associated with a proposed opportunity.
- Provide insights on valuation, pricing, and negotiation strategies to support informed decision making.
Mergers & Acquisitions
- Assist in the evaluation of M&A opportunities.
- Pro forma valuation, accretion/dilution, and combination analysis
Project Management
- Develop and execute project plans for various new ventures initiatives, tracking milestones, deadlines, and resource allocation.
- Ensure timely communication of project updates.
Post-Transaction Integration
- Collaborate with other internal teams to develop and implement new venture integration.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in finance, economics, or engineering
- 5+ years of experience
- Investment banking, private equity and valuation experience is a plus, but not required.
- Detail oriented and organized self-starter with strong work ethic
- Team-player with the ability to handle simultaneous projects and changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong understanding of financial concepts and valuation methodologies
- Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities, combined with a strategic mindset.
- Knowledge and understanding of the Energy industry.
- Excellent oral and written communication; will frequently be working with various disciplines across the company and across three different offices.
