We are neoteq ventures, an early-stage venture capital fund based in Cologne. We help great founding teams build tech companies that change industries. We invest throughout Germany and focus our investment activities in the Rhineland. YOUR ROLE

You are right in the middle of neoteq ventures’ operational business and at the interface between brand, portfolio support and our network. Your job is to keep all the threads together and to build and operate your own community around our investment activities. Three areas are crucial for us:

1. Our brand. You are responsible for positioning it in the market and developing it further, be it through social media, events or other communication measures.
2. Portfolio support: Secondly, you will take care of our portfolio support. In addition to capital, we provide our portfolio companies with additional support. This ranges from recruiting support to networking platforms and mentoring programs. We are constantly working to expand our network and thus increase the likelihood of success for our start-ups.
3. Start-up ecosystem: Last but not least, you get involved in the start-up scene and build long-term relationships in the start-up community.

YOUR TASKS

Brand Strategy

• Develop our marketing activities independently
• Be creative and optimize our social media strategy, especially LinkedIn and Instagram
• Communicate our mission and make sure we are heard

Community Building

• Organize events for founders, investors and the ecosystem
• Support us in expanding our network, be it with co-investors, our own investors, network partners or founding teams
• Represent us at the big and small events around the topic of start-ups
• Identify and implement suitable tools to manage our community even more efficiently

Portfolio Support

• Support our portfolio in business development activities and provide our network in HR, IT, online marketing and similar

All with the aim of finding the best founding teams in Germany and the Rhineland and providing the best possible support on their journey to success.

WHAT YOU BRING WITH YOU

• Relevant professional experience of at least 2 – 3 years in the start-up environment
• Ideally a business degree (Master or Bachelor)
• A good commercial understanding of trends, markets, digitalization and innovation and a good feel for digital products.
• Very strong communication skills, independent work and enjoyment of working with people
• Strong network in the start-up ecosystem in Germany and also beyond
• Humor & a lot of patience (both of which are often needed in start-ups)
