Diverse tasks
Your Tasks
- Valuation & execution of venture capital investment and sales transactions
- Sourcing, screening, analysing and presenting investment opportunities
- Development of investment theses
- Timing, evaluation & execution of commercial analyses, as well as support of due diligence processes in cooperation with external service providers
- Negotiation, contract drafting and transaction execution
- Management of existing portfolio companies
- Fulfilling advisory board mandates and shareholder meetings
- Communication with and sparring of founders, co-investors and advisory board members
- Analysing the business strategy, organisational structure, financial planning and IP situation
- Monitoring and reporting on the portfolio companies
- Preparation and coordination of investment rounds
Convincing profile
Your Profil
- At least 5 years of operational work experience in the energy market
- Either in a C-level function in an energy start-up
- Or in a managerial role in a utility environment, e.g. project planning, renewable generation, trading, grid control or non-commodity sales
- At least 3 years of transaction experience in the venture capital sector
- Social skills & experience in dealing with various stakeholders of young start-ups
- Proactive, reliable and results-orientated approach with the ability to take responsibility and work in a non-hierarchical environment
- Fluency in written and spoken German and English
- Curiosity about new innovative products, business models and technologies in the field of energy and transport transition
- Quick comprehension, analytical thinking skills, very good communication skills

We have a straightforward VC setup with an evergreen structure and invest in growth companies focusing on returns. In addition, we offer the reach and capabilities of the EnBW Group, which we support in its transformation into a sustainable and digital infrastructure operator.
Based on our successful exits, we seek further interesting start-ups and make new investments. As an Investment Manager / Director (m/f/d), you will drive your own deals, be responsible for the entire investment process, and represent us externally as an investor.
