Capacura is Germany’s leading impact venture capital investor, supporting impact-oriented startups with capital and expertise. As an Investment Manager, you will be directly involved in the selection, evaluation, and further development of our portfolio companies – and actively shape the investment strategy.

Tasks

  • Startup Analysis – You evaluate exciting impact startups based on market, team, product, business model, and impact potential. You bring business acumen and a keen sense for future-proof innovations.
  • Dealflow & Screening – You structure and prioritize our deal flow and actively participate in the selection of promising founding teams.
  • Due Diligence – You conduct market, team, and financial analyses as part of due diligence processes and use these to develop well-founded decision-making documents for our Investment Committee.
  • Portfolio Communication – You will be responsible for ongoing communication with our founders and will be the first point of contact for reporting, challenges, and ideas for further development.
  • Projects & Strategy – You will work on internal projects, e.g., to further develop our investment theses, measure impact, or improve our internal tools and processes.
  • Cap Table & Reporting – You maintain cap tables, analyze startup metrics, and support internal and external reporting.

qualification

  • Academic background – You have a master’s degree in business administration, finance, or a comparable field and have in-depth business knowledge.
  • Practical experience – You have at least two years of relevant professional experience, ideally in venture capital, private equity, investment banking or an investment-related environment.
  • Tool competence – You work confidently with MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint, and confidently use digital tools to analyze and present your work results.
  • Linguistic confidence – You communicate fluently in German, and English is no obstacle for you in a professional context.
  • Strong communication skills – You have a good feel for different target groups, can communicate clearly and in a structured manner, and present yourself confidently – even in crucial conversation situations.
  • Financial understanding – You have a solid understanding of controlling and accounting fundamentals – or are willing to quickly familiarize yourself with these topics.
