Bidra Ventures is a $250M investment fund backed by UM6P and the largest fertilizer company globally. Our mission is to identify, nurture, and empower bold, innovative solutions in agriculture, mining, energy, and water for Africa and beyond. We back founders forging the future via sustainable technologies. In pursuit of this mission, we are evaluating breakthroughs in several domains including green ammonia, green hydrogen, water desalination, solar, energy storage, robotics, and crop nutrition. We are interested in the opportunities that emerge from the convergence of several disciplines. We are seeking a self-starter to join our team who shares our passion towards our mission. The associate will search and evaluate promising opportunities and help the team make good investment decisions via analysis and debate.

Responsibilities:

• Lead M&A process from sourcing to closing, including valuation, due diligence, and negotiations.

• Prepare the business-case via presentations and memos to leadership.

• Evaluate opportunities and monitor existing strategic initiatives.

• Lead project management and coordination / development of work plans, deliverables, activities.

• Analyze and present industry dynamics and competitive landscape for valuation purposes.

Qualifications:

• 4+ years’ experience in Top 3 management consulting firms is required.

• Thrives in an uncertain, fast-paced, complex situations

• Writes clearly, plainly, persuasively, in simple prose free of jargon

• Excellent presentation and spreadsheet skills.

• Sufficient task-relevant maturity to make decisions with imperfect information

Total compensation – $175,000 – $220,000.
