Role Overview

Tandem Ventures is seeking a highly driven Investor to join our team in a full-time, in-office capacity. This role sits at the center of the firm’s investing, portfolio support, and operational execution.

This is not a passive investing role. The individual will operate with high ownership and intensity, working directly with partners, founders, and external stakeholders to drive outcomes across both the fund and portfolio.

This role is based in Lehi, Utah and requires consistent in-office presence. Tandem Ventures does not offer remote work for this position. The expected workload is approximately ~50+ hours per week, with flexibility required based on deal flow and portfolio needs.

Key ResponsibilitiesDeal Sourcing & Execution

• Source, evaluate, and prioritize new investment opportunities across seed-stage companies
• Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and business model evaluation
• Build financial models and assess unit economics, growth metrics, and return potential
• Support full diligence processes including founder references, customer calls, and data analysis
• Assist in structuring and executing investments

Portfolio Support

• Work directly with portfolio companies on strategic and operational initiatives
• Support financial modeling, KPI tracking, and investor reporting
• Assist founders with go-to-market strategy, hiring, and operational scaling
• Help identify and unlock growth opportunities across the portfolio

Fundraising & Investor Relations

• Support capital raising efforts for current and future funds
• Assist in preparing fundraising materials, investor updates, and performance reporting
• Engage with LPs and support ongoing communication and relationship management

Operations & Fund Administration

• Support internal firm operations, including reporting, data management, and systems
• Assist with fund administration processes and coordination with legal and accounting partners
• Contribute to internal tooling, workflows, and “Operation Leverage” initiatives
• Help improve scalability and efficiency across the firm

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of experience in investment banking, management consulting, private equity, or a high-growth SaaS company
• Strong analytical and financial modeling skills
• Ability to evaluate early-stage companies with limited data
• High attention to detail and strong work ethic
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
