Responsibilities

• Preparing investment theses – this involves performing rigorous market research on a continuous basis and presenting key findings professionally and concisely
• Sourcing investment candidates – this involves actively building community with founders, investors, researchers, and operators
• Evaluating investments – this involves running startups through our investment process and preparing & presenting investment memos
• Creating value for portfolio companies – this involves working with our portfolio founders across a wide range of functions including (but not limited to) talent, business development, and product
• Creating value for our Limited Partners – this involves communicating insights and coordinating annual meetings

Qualifications*

• 2 to 10 years of professional experience in venture capital, private equity, investment banking, management consulting, or a startup/technology-focused business
• Top-tier verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to quickly prepare high quality market research reports, distill key findings, and form investment theses
• In-depth technical understanding of AI and/or blockchain technology is preferred
• Existing professional network within the Bay Area is preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in STEM fields; an MBA is advantageous but not mandatory
