Epic Ventures is hiring for positions on our investment team based in Salt Lake City, Utah. As a Venture Capital Investor, you’ll play a key role in identifying, evaluating, and supporting high-potential early-stage investment opportunities. You will work closely with the investment team to source new deals, conduct market research, perform due diligence, and actively support our growing portfolio of companies.

The Role:

• Two-year role based in Salt Lake City, Utah, reporting to the General Partners.
• Sourcing Investment Opportunities: Identify and evaluate emerging startups, monitor industry trends, and review incoming investment leads.
• Conducting Market Research & Due Diligence: Perform in-depth market analysis, financial modeling, and technical assessments to evaluate potential investments.
• Engaging with Entrepreneurs: Meet with founders, evaluate business models, and assess their long-term potential to determine if they align with our investment strategy.
• Supporting Portfolio Companies: Work alongside portfolio companies, providing research, competitor analysis, and strategic support to help them grow and scale.
• Industry Engagement: Represent Epic Ventures at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to build relationships with key stakeholders in the tech and venture capital ecosystems.
• Reporting & Communication: Assist in preparing materials for investor updates and reports, tracking portfolio performance, and communicating insights to the broader team.
• Project Ownership: Lead and execute independent projects that drive value for the firm and its portfolio companies.

• Relevant Experience: At least 2 years of experience in venture capital, finance, a startup or entrepreneurial setting. Experience in sectors like materials science, biotech, life sciences, or AI is highly valued.
• Tech-Savvy: You are comfortable working with digital tools and have an interest in emerging technologies like machine learning, AI, and synthetic biology. Previous technical experience is a plus.
• Interest in Venture Capital: A genuine passion for early-stage investing and a deep interest in helping startups succeed.
