We are looking for a Summer Analyst Intern to join our investment team. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, detail oriented, thrive with light supervision, and be willing to get involved across all aspects of the firm’s operations.

This member can work remotely or out of our offices in San Francisco or New York. We are looking to recruit for this role as soon as possible.

Responsibilities

✏️ Work with our investment team to identify and develop investment reports

🧑‍💻 Proactively conduct research within our key verticals of focus

🧾 Prepare summary materials for potential new investment opportunities, including investment memos and other supporting research

📍Participate in and support the investment process from opportunity identification through due diligence and deal closing

🧑‍💻 Support our portfolio companies across a number of operating areas on a project basis

✏️ Manage internal tools and processes, including working with our deal pipeline

🎈 Ability to work closely with members of the Valia team on internal projects

❗️ Occasional ad-hoc tasks as required to support the team

🧠 Continuously look to improve the organization and efficiency of every member of the team

Qualifications

👩‍🎓 Be a Junior, Senior, or pursuing a graduate degree from an accredited institution

🔁 Professional experience in consulting, investment banking, startups, or venture capital

💬 Strong Interest in startups, technology, and venture capital

🛠 Advanced skills with tools such as G Suite, Office, Slack, Notion, and Airtable

✔️ Verification of education, prior employment, and references may be required
