As a summer intern, you will gain invaluable hands-on experience in venture capital, learn about the medtech landscape, and work alongside seasoned professionals in the field. This internship is designed for students who want to make an impact and be at the forefront of healthcare innovation.
Core Responsibilities
– Research and Market Analysis: Conduct in-depth research on emerging trends in the healthcare and medtech sectors. Assist in evaluating potential investment opportunities by analyzing market data, competitive landscapes, and financial performance.
– Investment Due Diligence: Work closely with the investment team to assess potential portfolio companies. Assist in the due diligence process by analyzing business models, financial statements, and market strategies.
– Portfolio Management Support: Participate in meetings with portfolio companies, providing assistance in performance tracking, strategy development, and market expansion initiatives.
– Financial Modeling: Assist in creating financial models and projections to support investment decisions and portfolio management activities.
– Pitch Deck Preparation: Collaborate with the team to create compelling presentations and investment pitch decks for internal and external stakeholders.
– Collaborative Teamwork: Work directly with senior leadership, including Partners and Analysts, to contribute to strategic projects. Participate in discussions around investment strategy and portfolio management.
– Innovation Research: Explore the latest innovations in medtech and provide insights on how these technologies can disrupt traditional healthcare markets.
What We’re Looking For
– Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program (preferably in Finance, Business, Economics, Life Sciences, or related fields). High school graduates are considered, subject to strong referral from teachers and being local to the Southern Highlands.
– Strong interest in venture capital, healthcare, and medical technologies.
– Excellent analytical and research skills.
– Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
– Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
– A self-starter attitude with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
