The Growth and Ops Intern Role
Overview
Ripple Ventures is expanding the team with a Growth and Ops Intern to help us with our growth engine and in-person community. We run events that connect founders, operators, and investors across the tech community, from fireside chats and founder dinners to builder hangs and co-working sessions. This role is all about supporting the brainstorming, planning, and scaling of these events, as well as scaling our marketing and content strategy by managing our social media presence and creating engaging content for our community. Please note: This is not an investing role.
Responsibilities
- Support and lead the planning of end-to-end event logistics with the Ripple Ventures team, new/existing corporate partners, sponsors, and external vendors
- Managing and creating content with copy, videos, and photos for social media channels, for both Ripple Ventures and the Tank Talks Podcast. This includes long-form writing (blog/newsletter), short-form video (Reels/TikTok/Shorts), podcast clips + distribution for Tank Talks, event recap content, founder spotlights, and more.
- Helping scale our Tank Talks Podcast with guest research, booking coordination, clip cutting, distribution, and YouTube SEO.
- Manage the Ripple community by creating, managing, and tracking community lists
- Facilitate and coordinate in-person event operations (e.g., checking in guests, conversing with attendees, facilitating conversations, etc.)
Who We’re Looking For
- You’re already using AI tools for your personal workflows and content, follow tech Twitter/X, and have opinions on which startups are doing content well
- Fluent in tools like Riverside, Descript, CapCut, Runway, Midjourney/Sora, Notion AI, Claude/ChatGPT, and other core AI workflow tools.
- Plugged into startup communities and have prior experience organizing events from small get–togethers to large hackathons/conferences.
- Energized by meeting new people, reaching out to new folks, and acting as a conduit that connects like-minded people.
- Clear, reliable, and organized communicator who can juggle multiple stakeholders across different projects while completing deadline-based tasks.
- Fast learner, proactive, and resourceful. You thrive in flat, non-hierarchical work environments where you can take initiative and present new, creative ideas.
- Experience with photography, videography, and/or graphic design + comfortable with editing software.
- No specific degree, GPA, or school is required. We care more about the person behind the resume, their ambition, curiosity, and drive.

FAQ
We’ve been overwhelmed and grateful for the interest we’ve received in the role, and look forward to reading everyone’s application.
Our team’s gotten a few questions and will share an ongoing list of questions and our responses below:
————————————————————————————–
[1] “Does the 60-second video time limit apply to all three questions?”
- You can submit a 60-second video response for each question (i.e., three 60-second videos). You can also submit a single 60-second video response for all three. We’ll leave it up to you
- The 60-second time limit is more of a guideline than a strict rule, and it’s okay if it’s a few seconds over. We don’t want anyone to spend time re-recording a good take just to meet a time limit :)
[2] “I don’t have extensive content or community-building experience, but I’m excited about the role and willing to learn. Should I still apply?”
- Yes!
- We’ve received applications from software engineers interested in leveraging AI for content, all the way to creatives that come from a videography background with no tech experience
- We welcome applications from anyone who believes they can excel and grow in this role, regardless of background. You don’t need to check off all the boxes!
[3] “What traits are you looking for?”
- What we mentioned above + passionate people who can manage ambiguity, learn fast, and are comfortable with trying new things
- We think this can apply to many different backgrounds, which is why there aren’t any strict program/ academic requirements
