Red Beard Ventures (RBV) is a full stack Web3 venture firm investing across pre-seed to growth, operating a leading syndicate, accelerator, and strategic consulting practice.
About the Role
This is a unique opportunity for a motivated college student or recent graduate looking to break into venture capital. You’ll gain hands-on experience in deal sourcing, due diligence, market research, and portfolio support at a dynamic Web3-focused venture firm. This is a part-time unpaid role that will be compatible with school or other work commitments, and offers performance-based compensation opportunities on a select basis. This role is Ideal for candidates passionate about venture capital, startups, and emerging technologies in the Web3 space.
Responsibilities
- Source and screen inbound investment opportunities and participate in the initial evaluation process
- Support due diligence efforts by analyzing business models, competitive landscapes, and more
- Assist in preparing investment memos and presentation materials for investment committee meetings
- Identify later stage Web3 and deeptech (space, defense, etc) companies either for syndicate investment or to pass off to Denarii Labs, our Web3 Accelerator as a BD opportunity
- Attend relevant industry events and pitch sessions to identify promising startups
- Participate in weekly team meetings and investment discussions
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a college or university program or recently graduated
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Interest in Web3, blockchain, cryptocurrency, and related emerging technologies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with research tools, spreadsheets, and presentation software
- Self-motivated with ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Previous internship experience in finance, startups, or technology is a plus
