Phoenix Fund is a VC fund investing in and supporting early-stage startups from Harvard University. The club has invested in 130+ promising startups, including TrueFootage, Akko, Garage, Minimum, Syrup, and BoldVoice. Phoenix’s management team combines operational and investing expertise with incredible deal flow and unique events within the Harvard community.

Overview:

As the Chief of Staff, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our two founding partners and contributing to important initiatives. This is an opportunity to get hands-on experience in VC and gain an unparalleled understanding of investing in early-stage startups in a short period of time with the goal of helping you eventually build something awesome yourself.

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to internal operations, such as enhancing processes for deal flow management, portfolio tracking, and data analysis
  • Engage in stakeholder communications, acting as a liaison between the management team and portfolio companies, investors, and external partners
  • Lead and participate in special projects, which may include partnerships, fundraising initiatives, and organizational strategy
  • Assist in the identification, documentation, and evaluation / due diligence of potential investment opportunities
  • Analyze and synthesize data to inform strategic decisions, including market trends, competitive landscapes, and financial modeling

Requirements:

  • The drive and ability to execute at a really elevated level; we need someone who can constantly get shit done; always asking what is the next important thing they can push forward
  • Top-tier MBA program
  • Background in engineering, computer science, or a similar technical field is highly desirable

Hourly compensation during the internship: $25-$30.
