VC Internship @ Motion Ventures in Singapore

Motion Ventures is looking for exceptional analysts to join our team. As part of the team, you will play an active role in evaluating, diligence, and researching transactions in the transportation technology sectors. You will work in an entrepreneurial and fast-paced environment with frequent opportunities to interact with the firm’s senior leadership.

The Investment Intern will play a central role in:

• Deal Sourcing
• Deal Screening
• Performing Investment Due Diligence

Responsibilities

• Sourcing and Qualification of deals
• Reaching out to, and maintaining ongoing communication with founders and CEOs
• Identifying and nurturing venture capital investment opportunities
• Assisting existing Motion Ventures (and generating new) relationship development efforts with other VCs and ecosystem partners (e.g. financial institutions, accelerators, service providers and government / industry associations)
• Performing comprehensive and in-depth investment theses research
• Evaluating investment opportunities, conducting due diligence, and preparing investment memos

Your Background

• Strong accountability and ownership mindset
• Excellent academic record and passion for working with early-stage companies, great instincts, and a unique perspective
• Understanding and demonstrated practice of lean startup and/or design thinking methodologies
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• You must be a self-starter, analytical and comfortable expressing your point-of-view
• We are looking for candidates that are curious, eager to understand how evolving industries create opportunity for new technologies and to imagine the business models that will thrive in those future markets
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, Business, Economics, or a technical field preferred
