Program.
Position Overview
As a Venture Capital Technology Intern, you’ll have a key role in the Lightship Anchor Fund. You will
connect our firm with Limited Partners (Investors) like pension funds, consultants, and institutional
investors. Using advanced tools such as ChatGPT, and Nasdaq eVestment – Market Lens, you’ll
gather and analyze important data, prepare materials for Investor submissions, and upload fund
information to key Investor portals. This hands-on role will give you the chance to work with
innovative technologies and make a meaningful impact on our team’s success. Applicants should
have a desire to learn these tools, however don’t have to have had experience with them.
Your work will involve gathering and analyzing data, preparing submission materials, and uploading
key fund information to Investor portals, including pension funds, consultants, and institutional
investors.
You will report directly to the Operations Partner, Jennell Lynch, and gain hands-on experience in
private equity, data analytics, and Artificial Intelligence applications.
Student applications are open from January 21, 2025 – Feb. 28, 2025.
Internships effective from June 2, 2025 – Sept. 8, 2025.
Key Responsibilities
Data Analysis & Research:
➢Use Nasdaq eVestment Market Lens and Snowflake to identify potential Investors and
analyze their investment focus and performance trends.
➢Extract and organize relevant data to align with Lightship Anchor Fund’s investment
goals.
Artificial Intelligence:
➢Leverage ChatGPT and custom Artificial Intelligence tools to automate data extraction,
reporting, and Investor outreach processes.
➢Train and optimize Custom GPTs for Investor research, reporting, and submission
materials.
Report Preparation:
➢Collaborate with the team to draft tailored Investor submission materials, including
data-driven insights, pitch decks, and supporting documentation.
➢Automate reporting processes using Python and Snowflake integrations.
Investor Engagement:
➢Upload fund data and materials to Investor portals, ensuring accuracy and timely submissions.
➢Track submissions and engagement metrics, and follow up with institutional investors and
consultants.
➢Document workflows and develop recommendations to streamline and enhance future
Investor engagement processes.
Qualifications
•Enrolled in a business, finance, economics, or technology-related degree program.
•Strong interest in private equity, venture capital, or investment management.
•Technical aptitude with experience or willingness to learn tools such as ChatGPT, Nasdaq
eVestment, and Snowflake.
•Basic Python skills or a desire to develop coding capabilities.
•Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
•Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
•You must be an Ohio resident attending college anywhere in the United States, or a non-Ohio
resident attending school in Ohio. International students attending schools and universities in Ohio are
welcome, provided they can show proof of eligibility to work in the U.S. and have a valid visa.
