VC Internship @ HTGF in Munich, Germany

The High-Tech Gründerfonds is looking for an intern in the field of venture capital at its Munich location as soon as possible. 

The focus of your exciting and varied internship is active participation in the HTGF investment team. This includes, among other things: 

• Support with deal sourcing – identification and initial contact with promising startups from our deal flow
• Conducting market, trend and competitive analyses as a basis for investment decisions
• Participation in due diligence – analysis of business models, technologies and financing structures of potential portfolio companies
• Preparation of investment memos and decision-making templates for the investment team
• Support in managing existing portfolio companies and preparation of reporting and committee documents
• Support in organizing the Munich location – from coordinating office operations and receiving guests and business partners to preparing and following up on meetings and events.

You’re the best fit for us if you’re in the advanced stages of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, e.g., in Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Economics, or a comparable field, or if you’ve already completed such a degree and have gained initial experience at startups, management consultancies, or venture capital firms. You have a strong interest in technological innovation and entrepreneurial thinking and enjoy quickly grasping complex issues and presenting them clearly. Additionally: 

• A strong affinity for startups and genuine enthusiasm for technological trends and innovations – ideally in areas such as deep tech, AI or life sciences.
• Prior practical experience through internships or working student positions in venture capital, investment banking, consulting or in a startup is advantageous.
• Analytical strength and a good understanding of new technologies
• A structured, independent and meticulous way of working – in order to maintain an overview even in a dynamic environment.
• Strong communication skills in German and English, both written and spoken – for exchanging information with founders, investors and the team.
• Safe handling of AI and automation skills
