About Freight Ventures
Freight Ventures is an early-stage $15m venture capital fund focused on technologies transforming the global maritime, logistics, and freight transport sectors — industries that are infrastructure-heavy but innovation-sparse. The fund invests globally, co-investing alongside leading VCs to back exceptional founders solving real operational challenges across the supply chain.
This is a solo GP fund that is just doing its first close and making its first investments. This is a chance to get involved on day one of a new fund.
The Role
We are looking for a part-time intern to assist with deal research, prospecting, and fund operations. This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in venture capital, startups, and the intersection of technology and industry.
The right candidate will be able to adapt and adjust the role as is needed for the fund at that time.
Responsibilities
- Research startups using tools such as Harmonic and industry databases to identify recent fundraising activity and emerging trends.
- Source and review promising companies aligned with Freight Ventures’ investment focus.
- Identify key angels and venture investors active in relevant sectors.
- Draft and prepare outreach templates and communications.
- Support CRM management and tracking of investor/startup relationships.
- Contribute to market mapping and portfolio research projects as needed.
