About the role
We are excited to expand our Finance team with a working student in our Berlin office and are looking for someone who can support us 2 days a week for at least 8 months.
Tasks
- Actively shape the success of our funds :
You will support the preparation of quarterly reports, which are crucial for communicating with investors. Your contribution helps create transparency and provide important insights. - Optimize our database :
You will continuously improve our database and the investment tracker. Here you can help shape processes and drive real optimizations. - Responsible for financial processes :
You will support preparatory accounting so that day-to-day operations run smoothly and our teams are well looked after. - Contribute to increasing efficiency in controlling :
Together with our team, you will optimize controlling and budgeting processes and ensure that we use our resources efficiently and can continue to grow. - Support in the execution of financing rounds :
You will support the implementation of financing rounds and gain valuable insights into the creation of cap tables and company valuations, which form the basis for important investment decisions. - Design sustainable investment strategies and make impact measurable :
You will support the onboarding of new investments to our ESG and impact tool, work closely with portfolio companies to define impact goals, and actively contribute to the preparation of annual ESG and impact reporting. This will demonstrate the true added value of our work to our investors and partners and help us bring about sustainable change.
Requirements
- You are studying economics, finance, accounting or a comparable course of study.
- Initial experience in finance and accounting is important to understand the background of your tasks and to quickly familiarize yourself with the role; experience in the ESG area is a plus.
- You demonstrate a willingness to learn quickly and take on responsibility.
- You have excellent knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint and know how to use these tools efficiently. Previous knowledge of Airtable, Spendesk, and Datev is a plus.
- You have a strong interest in venture capital and sustainability topics and would like to gain practical experience in these areas.
- You are characterized by a high level of initiative and work independently and in a solution-oriented manner.
- You approach new tasks proactively and are not afraid to ask questions to create clarity.
- Organization is one of your strengths – you keep an overview even when working on multiple parallel projects and work in a structured manner.
- You are a team player, enjoy working with others, and have a quick grasp of things, which allows you to quickly familiarize yourself with new topics.
- Fluent German skills at native speaker level or at least C1 level are required.
