VC Internship @ Fable Investments in Paris, France

Fable Investments (https://fableinvestments.com/) is the venture capital arm of Natura &Co and was established in 2021. Our purpose at Fable Investments is to invest growth capital into upcoming, innovative high-growth firms in the beauty and wellness space.

Fable Investments seeks to create a positive impact across the industry and the world. It aims to support and inspire start-up founders to realize the full potential of their ideas and businesses.

We want to leverage the expertise we have in our group to help nascent brands expand their businesses successfully. We have already made three investments and are anticipating a steady growth of the portfolio over the coming months as well as regular interactions to support our investees.

We are looking for VC Analyst Intern to support us. As a VC Analyst Intern, you will be expected to work closely with the team, attend calls with targets and actively contribute to the assessment of opportunities as well as investment presentations to the Investment Committee.

Duration: 6 months – Starting from January 2025

Main Responsibilities:

• Sourcing: Assist in the management of the deal flow and generate outbound opportunities through industry research
• Investment presentations: Prepare and present investment memos and pitch decks for new and follow-on investments based on fundamental analysis and market research
• Due Diligence: Assist in the coordination of the due diligence process to identify and manage potential risks and liabilities
• Financial Analysis: Assist in preparing valuations for current and pipeline opportunities and review financial statements to assess current and planned performance
• Deal Structuring: Assist with deal structuring and the evaluation of term sheets
• Industry Research: Actively read and seek out new information sources to stay abreast of industry trends. Prepare analysis and research work for the group and investment team

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business management, economy or mathematics
• Sensibility and interest in beauty, wellness, consumer goods and the current trends across the industry
• Outstanding knowledge of MS Office (Powerpoint, Excel and World)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Fluency in French preferred but not mandatory
• Outstanding analytical skills, detail-oriented, proactive and self-motivated
• Ability to work across all organizational levels, functions and a multi-cultural environment
• Ability to work independently and drive initiatives while also being a team player
• Ability to communicate concepts and ideas concisely and persuasively
• Resourceful self-starter, able to work under pressure and manage time effectively
• Ability to lead a variety of transactions and projects simultaneously
• Previous experience in VC/PE preferred (bank, fund, corporate)
