byFounders is a community-powered early-stage venture fund focused predominantly on the New Nordics, backed by some of the region’s most accomplished founders investing in and supporting the next generation of globally ambitious founders. About the role
In this role, you’ll mainly be responsible for sourcing and evaluating investments, but also supporting our portfolio companies. Furthermore, you will be a key player in our ‘thesis work’ where you will contribute to market research and generation of insights that support investment decisions.
Main responsibilities
- Source and evaluate investment opportunities
- Identify emerging tech trends to support thematic sourcing
- Build and maintain key relationships within the broader tech ecosystem
- Contribute to team and company-building initiatives
- Support other operational activities associated with the firm, including investor reporting

What we’re looking for
The most important thing for us is that we’re aligned on our key values, including genuinely caring for founders and being unpretentious. Moreover, we would like to see that you are:
- Passionate about technology & startups – that goes without saying 😉
- Humble and helpful, since we want you to be personable and easy to work with, not only with the core team but also towards founders, Collective members, and other investors
- Analytical and curious, since the work requires you to dig deep into industries, build a quick understanding of markets, and easily grasp key metrics
- Hungry and driven, since this job requires a high energy level and sometimes very fast turnaround times
- Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills, mainly in English but other Nordic or Baltic languages are a plus
It’s also a plus if you have any of the below:
- Programming skills or some technical experience
- Startup or entrepreneurship experience
- Specific knowledge in impact investing & ESG
- Experience from working in high-performance and analytical teams (i.e., investment banking or management consulting)
