Access Venture Partners is an early stage venture capital firm based in Colorado and investing across the United States.
About the Role
We are seeking a 2025 Spring Intern with a strong technical foundation (start date mid-to-end of Feb). You could be a PhD student, scientist with industry experience, or former founder/operator of a deep tech company. This role offers hands-on experience across the full spectrum of venture capital operations, from deal sourcing to due diligence, with a particular focus on deep tech startups. The role will require strong research, writing, and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
– Lead research initiatives on emerging technology trends and market opportunities
– Support deal sourcing efforts through market research, startup outreach, and ecosystem networking
– Conduct comprehensive due diligence on potential investment opportunities, including market analysis, and competitive landscape assessment
– Prepare investment memoranda and present findings to the investment committee
– Build and maintain relationships with founders, industry experts, and other venture capital firms
– Assist leadership with special projects
Required Qualifications
– Able to commit 12 hours a week at minimum
– At least a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or other hard sciences
– Demonstrated interest in startups and the venture capital ecosystem
– Strong analytical and quantitative skills
– Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities
– Self-starter mentality with ability to work independently
– Authorization to work in the United States
Preferred Qualifications
– Prior experience in financial analysis, investment banking, or consulting
– Experience working with or founding startups
– Programming or data analysis skills
– Network within the Colorado startup ecosystem
– Prior venture capital or private equity experience
